The Story of Paradox Pain Relief Cream
Paradox Pain Relief Cream was developed by a family physician,
Gary Mohr, M.D., in conjunction with a compounding pharmacologist, William Shelver, Ph. D.
Dr. Mohr came up with the idea while treating one of his patients who suffered from diabetic peripheral neuropathy.
She compared it to other commercial preparations that she had been using, and was most pleased with Paradox.
The concept is very simple:
A potassium salt is combined with a soothing greaseless,
odorless cream base. The potassium appears to hyperpolarize sensitive nerve endings so that they don’t fire as frequently.
It relieves pain for many people,
but it does not cause numbness like lidocaine products.
It can safely be used with occlusive dressings; that is, you can apply it to an injury or a painful joint and cover the area with a product like Saran Wrap. That keeps the product in contact with the skin longer, and prevents it from rubbing off onto clothing. Clothing such as socks may be adequate to hold the dressing in place; in other locations, tape may be required. The occlusive dressing should be removed every 6 hours.
Gentle heat or cold can be applied over the dressing.
Paradox Pain Relief Cream does not include any
marijuana, THC or CBD. It is not known to interfere with any kind of illicit drug testing.
It is not known to interfere with any oral medications.
It is hoped that some patients may be able to reduce their use of
oral pain relievers with Paradox.
Paradox Pain Relief Cream is recommended for superficial injuries and pains. It has been found to be helpful with sprains, strains, bumps, bruises, superficial burns, nerve pain and minor joint pains.
It is only for topical use;
it is not to be taken internally or applied to mucus membranes
(mouth, eyes, lips, genitalia, etc.)
